New Era is a speculative look into the future. It is my own dystopia, which reflects the choice we make when we buy and surround us with design objects. New Era is basically an input to the debate of the common responsibility we all have when it comes to choosing and using quality over quantity.

To me REFORM is a new alternative. An alternative to our existing design ideals and a space for change and innovation. It is a break with traditions and a place where we can debate where we are and where we are going.
Anna Aagaard has a BA in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 2015. She recently moved to Amsterdam to get new input and explore different approaches to the art of design. At the moment she is working for the conceptual artist and designer Jolan van der Wiel.
Her design approach has evolved to become more conceptual in time. She is drawn to utopian universes and the search for new alternatives by approach- ing design in a conceptual or experimental way. Good handcraft and using quality materials is extremely important to Aagaard as she finds it to be a reflection of the love you put into your design.
Anna Aagaard took part in REFORM 2014.
